ITALY PLAYS EURO 2021

The crowds wait on bated breath as Italy plays its final game in the Euro Cup. Anticipation looms. Eyes are glued to every ‘makeshift’ patio television. A sea of ‘Azzurri’ blue stretches as far as my eyes can see. The streets of College are so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Italy flags are hung left, right, and center.

The mood is set. The streets are filled. It is now time to wait.

Not a soul cares about sitting or standing. It’s just about being in the presence of other fans - both young and old.

The moment Italy hits their first penalty goal.

The crowds cheer and chant. There is no doubt in my mind that we won’t win.
